Your text needs to be in from the trim edge.5'. Best to keep all this in mind when designing your ebook cover. You can always size down but sizing up can create some seriously bad pixelly image file that will look horrible in print. Considering this, for a novel I personally would never do an original image smaller than (at 72 dpi.since so many folks have trouble figuring out how to set dpi) 1875 pixels wide x 2775 high 6'x9' plus a bleed) You can always decide you never want to create a paperback. But you will kck yourself in the butt if you don't and change your mind and want a paperback later. I ALWAYS format the paperback book for CreatSpace first. Then make the ebook from those files.
